Community Service:

Grace volunteers her time in various organizations. She is a founding member and Director of the U.S. Hispanic Advocacy Association (USHAA), a national non-profit whose mission is to leverage Hispanic purchasing power to provide meaningful Advocacy, Benefits, and Education to its members. Grace designed and deployed USHAA's enterprise-grade membership and e-commerce platform. Grace also has been a member of the Green Brook Technology Committee for the past two years where she works with the Mayor and other committee members to evaluate recommend and incorporate technology to better serve the town and its residents. Being newly elected to the Township Committee, Grace is spearheading a major redesign of the township website. Grace also designed, developed and maintains the website for her church, Calvary Chapel of North Plainfield. Most recently, Grace launched the GreenBrookVoice.com; a website she hopes will become the place where residents of the town will go to become informed about what's happening in their neighborhoods.

Grace has lived in Green Brook since 1997 with her husband and three children. All of her children have attended the schools in the district. Her oldest is a graduate of Watchung Hills Regional High School. Grace has been class mom for all of her kids from the time they were in kindergarten, through the time they were in middle school. She also taught Spanish to her oldest daughter's kindergarten class one day a week during the school year. Grace created the yearly banquet video slideshow for two of her kids' sports teams. She creates DVDs for the WHRHS Field Hockey teams as well as the WHRHS Soccer teams.

Education:

Grace received her Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Cook College, Rutgers University. She also earned a Master of Science in Management from NJIT with a specialization in Technology Management and E-Commerce. Grace also obtained a graduate certificate in Leadership and is a fellow of the Leadership NJ class of 2009.

Professional Background:

Grace Diaz is a seasoned technology manager and entrepreneurial professional with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry. She is a principal at Omni Solutions International, a software development and consulting firm that provides information management solutions to its clients.

At Omni, Grace manages a team of software engineers in the development of software solutions that are licensed to its clients. Prior to Omni, Grace was also a Technical Project Manager with Prudential Insurance Company of America, where she managed and designed mission critical underwriting and service delivery systems for the individual and group life business.

Grace also formed and led a Florida-based real estate investment and management company focused on the vacation rental market.

Grace began her career working as a programmer/analyst for Fortune 100 corporations like Johnson & Johnson and American Express with progressive promotions into management.
