Our Priorities: Three E's

• EFFICIENCY
  • Reduce expenses through careful budgeting and cost effective spending decisions.
  • Increase efforts to obtain grants and coordinate projects with other municipalities.
  • Encourage employee input as to cost cutting measures.
 
• ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT
  • Revitalize and enhance the Route 22 corridor by working with the county business partnership, state and federal governments.
  • Continue the work of the Economic Development Committee on improving our business community while promoting family friendly businesses.
  • Pro-actively pursue desired businesses to our community.
  • Develop a plan which considers a sidewalk through our Village commercial area, making it more pedestrian and bicycle friendly.

•   ENVIRONMENT
  • Take advantage of the county's no cost energy audit results and implement these recommendations in a cost effective manner to save money and reduce energy consumption in municipal buildings.
  • Increase efforts to obtain open space parcels.
  • Work with the Environmental Commission and Green Design Group in setting a environmentally sustainable course for our township.
