Welcome to the Green Brook Democratic Organization!

Hello Green Brook Democrats,

The Green Brook Democratic Club formed in 2003, by progressive thinking Green Brook residents in an effort to bring to an end Single Party Rule in Green Brook.

Since that time we have had candidates in each Election cycle, we elected the first Democratic Mayor in 47 years, and currently have two seats on the Township Committee.

As a club, the Green Brook Democrats seek to be a community organization that reaches out to all people increasing participation by Democrats in local issues and elections and serving as the focus for the election of Democrats to Local, State and National Office. We seek to educate, recruit, and mobilize Green Brook residents to support Democratic principles and values and to elect Democratic candidates who support those principles and values.

Our Principle Objectives are:

  • Always make the people of Green Brook more important than the politics in Green Brook
  • Maintain open, positive communication between the elected officials, and the citizens we serve
  • Monitor the Tax burden of our fellow citizens
  • Balance the growth of Township services; explore possible partnerships with other communities
  • Attract successful commercial business growth, while protecting the environment and natural resources for the enjoyment of all residents
  • Support the creation and expansion of recreational activities for seniors, and all members of the community
  • Ensure the highest quality of education for our children
  • Offer a forum for vigorous discussion of local issues and support the concerns of all residents with issues which affect their neighborhoods
  • Promote Democratic Party activities to all who are interested, and encourage more Democrats to become active in Local politics
  • Support Local, County, State, and National efforts of the Democratic Party
  • Recruit, nominate, elect, and support good local leaders to govern and lead us through these troubled times
